The Outlaws swimmers walked away with several top finishes in a five-way competition at Philomath.
Teams from Cascade, Jefferson, Central, Philomath and Sisters competed in the invitational.
Hilary Hedemark recorded a first place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (1:08.59) ahead of Leah Johnson of Philomath (1:13.38).
She also finished first in the 100-yard backstroke (1:10.16) followed by Cascade's Jamie Burlison (1:16.16) and Chelsea Durdan-Shaw (1:16.25).
Durdan-Shaw placed second in the 200-yard Individ- ual Medley with a personal best of 2:53.14. Dana Hughie finished in fifth position with a personal best of 1:34.20, 2/10 ahead of last year's district final time.
Jamie Cundiff and Heidi Whipps added valuable points to the Outlaws' score with their sixth place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke and a sixth place in the 200-yard and 100-yard freestyle.
Chelsea Durdan-Shaw led the 200-yard Medley Relay with the backstroke (33.4), followed by Dana Hughie in the breaststroke (41.5), Hilary Hedemark in the butterfly (29.6). Jamie Cundiff anchored in the freestyle (31.6).
The girls' time of 2:16.10 put them into second place behind Cascade's 2:11.84.
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Sisters was runner-up again to Cascade. Hilary Hedemark's start (28.1) was followed by Chelsea Meudt (31.4), Jamie Cundiff (31.8) and anchored by Chelsea Durdan-Shaw (29.6) for a time of 2:00.9.
The big scorers on the boys' side were Eli Pyke with a fourth place in the 200-yard Individual Med- ley (3:23.6); Adam Guggenheim with a fourth place in the 100-yard backstroke (1:26.4); Seth Perrine with a fifth place in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:26.38); and Nick Patterson with a sixth place in the 50-yard freestyle (29.58).
Guggenheim, Perrine, Patterson and Comfort combined to finish fourth in the 200-yard medley relay and Pyke, Comfort, Seile and Patterson swam to an impressive third place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
The boys' 400-yard freestyle relay with Perrine, Seile, Comfort and Patterson came in second overall.
The next competition for the Outlaws is scheduled for January 27 at Stayton.
