Individual Outlaws swimmers performed well, while overall team scores were low in an eight-way meet with Marist, Valley Catholic, Sweet Home, Cascade, Sherwood, Jefferson and Stayton on January 27.
The event in Stayton was one of the team's last meets before district championships.
Sisters was short two competitors in each discipline and did not fare very well in the team scores.
The majority of events featured 14 to 16 competitors which gave an accurate preview of what can be expected at the upcoming district and state competitions.
Hilary Hedemark won the 200-meter individual medley (2:39.58) and the 100-meter breaststroke ahead of Stayton's Shari Jackson (2:55.75) and Cascade's Elise Roberts.
The boys' 200-meter medley relay with Eli Pyke in the backstroke (43.0), Seth Perrine in the breaststroke (43.9), Nick Patterson in the butterfly (34.1) and Kevin Carlsmith as anchor in the freestyle (30.4) finished sixth.
The girls' 200-meter medley relay team finished seventh overall, with lead Chelsea Meudt in the backstroke (45.1), followed by Dana Hughie in the breaststroke (48.7), Hilary Hedemark in the butterfly (32.8) and Heidi Whipps in the freestyle (35.30).
The boys finished even better in the 200-meter freestyle, finishing fifth.
Nick Patterson led the Outlaws with a 31.4 second leg, followed by Travis Comfort (32.2), Eli Pyke (31.6) and Kevin Carlsmith (31.4).
The girls' 200-meter freestyle relay moved up a spot as well, finishing sixth.
Hilary Hedemark swam a 30.5 second section, followed by Chelsea Meudt (33.0), Heidi Whipps (34.6) and Jamie Cundiff (34.8).
Other top 10 individual finishers included Kevin Carlsmith -- 200-meter freestyle, Luke Seile and Travis Comfort -- 50-meter freestyle, Chelsea Meudt -- 100-meter freestyle, Eli Pyke -- 100-meter freestyle, Jamie Cundiff -- 100-meter backstroke and Seth Perrine 100-meter breaststroke.
