Indian Ford Road crash claims life

A 23-year-old Bend woman was killed on Saturday, July 8, when she apparently lost control of her Jeep Grand Cherokee on a curve on Indian Ford Road and collided with an oncoming truck.

According to sheriff's office reports, Kara Lynn Radeker was eastbound on Indian Ford Road at a high rate of speed when she lost control, crossed the center line and ran sideways into a Dodge 2500 Ram truck driven by a Camp Sherman resident.

Emergency personnel responded from Black Butte Ranch and from Sisters. They summoned an Air Life helicopter, which transported Radeker to St. Charles Medical Center, where she died shortly after arrival.

According to sheriff's office reports, alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident, which is still under investigation.
