Brown beaten by Stiles

Early results indicate the incumbent Greg Brown has been badly beaten by challenger Les Stiles for the office of Deschutes County Sheriff

As of 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday evening, Stiles had a nearly two-to-one lead, 23,901 votes or more than 61 percent to 13.101 or 33 percent for Brown.

Neither candidate was immediately available.
