To the Editor:
I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who showed up to support me and my children on Sunday, February 4.
The ceremony of breaking ground is pivotal in the Habitat Homeowner process, and I can't express enough about it's meaning to me.
I want to include also an extra special thanks for the donations from Melissa and Sisters Bakery, Espresso Junction, Juan Duarte (architect), RL Schaefer Excavation, Tewalt and Sons Excavation and Kiwanis.
An extra "hug" to Joe Holder, Father Faucher, Barbara Hinkey, and Bob Sherman.
Last but not least, eternal "thank you's" to Tom and Carolyn, David and Laura Hiller, and all the volunteers for your continued support.
With love,
Jennifer Knowles and family

To the Editor:
On January 9, I slipped and fell on some ice near my home in Camp Sherman.
Because of the resulting brain injury, I don't remember much of that night, but I do recall how wonderful the emergency personnel were.
I'd like to express my heartfelt appreciation to Dave Blann (sorry about your recent injury, Dave),
Toni and Mark Foster, and Denise Williams. Their approach -- calm, knowledgeable, and caring -- was great; I really felt I was in good hands.
I would also like to thank the ambulance personnel and everyone at St. Charles Medical Center for all their help.
Andre Shelby
