Sisters Sheriff's calls

  • A local resident reported men sneaking around in the woods wearing camouflage and carrying guns.

    Deputies were unable to locate the insurgents, but it was surmised that they were engaged in a paintball operation.

  • A deputy followed a trail of beer cans and bottles down a forest road to a campsite. He told the campers to clean up or be cited.

  • A wayward emu was caught and returned to its owner.

  • Deputies came to the aid of a horse that got caught in a wire fence.

  • A woman reported that a man keeps calling and asking her to have sex with him. She wants him to stop.

  • A local resident reported the theft of an equipment trailer. The value, including contents was estimated at $3,800.

  • A resident reported seeing two men walking down a city street carrying a TV.

    That seemed suspicious, but a deputy was unable to locate the men.

    It does not appear that any TVs have come up missing.

  • A traffic stop for a faulty trailer light led to a warrant arrest on the passenger.

  • A deputy arrested a Sisters man on a warrant for a theft charge.
