Live music in Sisters

Sisters Folk Festival favorite Misty River will play at Paulina Springs Book Company on Saturday night, July 21, 8 p.m. A handful of tickets are still available; call 549-0866.

Misty River offers a classic mix of Americana music, with touches of folk and bluegrass in their tight harmonies.

More acoustic Americana will fill the stage at Angeline's Bakery and Caf» on Main Avenue on Sunday, July 22, 6 to 9 p.m., with Scott Harris and the Haymakers.

The multi-instrumental band performs a large number of original songs and tasteful covers of artists such as James McMurtry and Steve Earle.

The Haymakers will also be featured at this year's Sisters Folk Festival (see related story on page 17).

A variety of local acts will perform during the SOAR Fun in the Sun Day at the Sisters Elementary School playground.

That event runs from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 21.

Scott Foxx will perform on Saturday evening, July 28, at Suttle Lake Resort, 16 miles west of Sisters off Highway 20.

The veteran Central Oregon musician and songwriter will play in a venue that features dinner and beautiful vistas of Suttle Lake.
