- Someone broke into another Sisters business and made off with a safe containing a substantial amount of cash. This is the second break-in and safe theft in recent weeks and one of a number of burglaries.
- Three young Sisters men were found taking their ease in a hot tub at the clubhouse on Pine Meadow Ranch. The owner did not wish to have them cited, but they were warned to ask permission before indulging in the future.
- Barking dogs drove several people to call in complaints last week.
- The horses were restless, too. Several left their pastures to wander over to the neighbors' place. Must be the changing seasons.
- A resident reported a possible phone scam. Someone called claiming to represent a credit card company, asking for a checking account number to "take care of" a late payment.
Deputies confirmed that the credit card company did not make the call.
- A Sisters man was arrested on a warrant. He was driving on a suspended license and was uninsured.
- A report was filed on a theft of Chinese food.
- Some Sisters youths were cited for riding their scooters on the sidewalks --this after they had ignored repeated warnings from deputies.
- A woman reported that a substantial amount of cash was stolen from her home safe.
- A trailhead thief hit several cars at Lava Lake Trailhead, stealing a wallet and some purses.
- A gate across a rural road on private property was destroyed by a vehicle. The man who put up the gate has had a couple of verbal disagreements with a neighbor who apparently doesn't like having his regular route blocked off.
