The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Sisters on Thursday, September 20, at the firehall, 301 S. Elm Street from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The response of citizens to the terrorist attacks of Tuesday, September 11, have included massive turnouts at Red Cross blood donation centers.
The demand is likely to continue in the weeks to come and citizens are encouraged to continue to donate through the coming weeks.

How to help
Sisters residents, like Americans everywhere, are seeking ways to help the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks against the United States.
The United Way and the Council of Foundations have created a national response fund called the September 11th Fund to assist victims in all parts of the United States.
Send a check made out to September 11th Fund to Deschutes United Way, 1029 N.W. 14th St. Bend, OR 97701.
Mail contributions to September 11th Fund c/o United Way, 2 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10016.
Call the September 11th Fund at 212-251-4035 (be patient); or visit www.uwnyc.org/640/index.html.

US Bank is accepting donations for a relief fund. The Sisters branch is located at the corner of Hood Avenue and Ash Street.
To make a monetary donation to the Salvation Army to help in relief efforts, call 1-800-SAL-ARMY, or send a check earmarked "National Disaster Fund" to P.O. Box 8798, Portland, OR 97208. At this time, the Salvation Army reports, there is no need for in-kind donations.
