Schools adopt identification badges

Teachers, coaches and volunteers at Sisters schools are sporting new identification badges this year.

According to school board chair Heather Wester, the use of ID badges has been in the works for some time.

"As Sisters is growing, we've been looking at ID a couple of years," Wester said.

She noted that Sisters, while still intimate, isn't a place where everybody knows everybody else anymore.

The ID badges allow students to quickly and easily identify authority figures at school and they help staff recognize the adults in school.

"It's a way of keeping track; it makes them stand out more," Wester said.
