A Sisters man was slightly injured and a Bend woman suffered multiple injuries in a head-on collision on Highway 20 on Friday evening, October 19.
According to Deschutes County Sheriff's Office reports, James Stout of Sisters was traveling eastbound in a 1982 Ford F-150 pickup truck when he attempted to turn left on the Old Bend-Redmond Highway.
Stout allegedly turned into the path of a 1996 Plymouth Breeze driven by Sonya Siler of Bend.
The vehicles collided head on.
Stout suffered minor facial injuries. According to sheriff's office reports, Siler had to be extracted from her vehicle and suffered multiple leg and arm fractures. Both drivers were taken to St. Charles Medical Center for treatment.
According to sheriff's office reports, both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and Siler's airbag deployed in the collision.
