Sisters Sheriff's calls

  • A deputy responded to a 911 hang-up call at a Sisters home and found a confused and angry man in a torn T-shirt.

    His wife had allegedly come in drunk and started hitting him in the face and chest. Her 14-year-old son witnessed the fracas. The woman was arrested on assault charges and taken to jail.

  • A Sisters couple reported that they had been threatened by a woman with whom they are having a business dispute. The incident allegedly took place at the courthouse in Bend after a hearing.

The woman allegedly called the couple "pigs" and "white trash" and swore to get even with them no matter what.

The woman allowed as how she had called the couple those very names, but she denied threatening them. A witness backed up the couple's story.

  • A Sisters area family woke up to find a pickup truck in their pasture.

A young driver had managed the night before to plow 380 feet off the highway, through a fence and into the field. He wasn't hurt.

  • A woman called the sheriff's office for advice on how to handle her boyfriend's ex-wife, who calls and shows up on a regular basis. Dr. Laura was unavailable for comment.

  • A man was removed from a Sisters restaurant after refusing to leave. He thought he owned the place.
