Parent/child craft session set for Friday

Parents and their young children may craft handmade Valentines Saturday morning, February 9, and again on Monday afternoon.

The event is offered by "Mommy & Me Joyfully" which meets the second Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the following Monday from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. each month.

Saturday's session will be led by Genevieve MacKenzie, an experienced crafter and child-care teacher.

Evelyn Brush will lead the Monday afternoon session.

"Mommy & Me Joyfully" is a play group for parents and their children between toddler and kindergarten ages.

The not-for-profit group meets regularly at A Joyful Noise Preschool located at 104 E Adams, corner of Elm and Adams.

Each session of "Mommy & Me Joyfully" costs $3 for one parent-child and $5 for a parent and two children.

Preregistration is not required.

The March session will be March 9 and 11 and will focus on drawing.

Other coming sessions will feature wet-on-wet watercolor painting, a children's clothes swap, and spring break activities.
