Donkey basketball returns to Sisters

Sisters students and community members will compete on the hardwood in a Donkey Basketball tournament on Saturday, April 6, at 7 p.m. in the high school gym.

Teams from the elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as the alumni and a wide variety of community "all stars" will play astride donkeys -- for fun and for a good cause.

All proceeds will benefit the Kevin Johnson Memorial Scholarship and the Alumni Association scholarship.

Advance tickets to watch friends and family attempt to master this unique sport are $4 for adults; $2 for grades 7-12; $1 for grades 1-6.

Call 549-4045 to get tickets. At the door, all ticket prices increase by $1. There is a $15 family cap.

In addition to an entertaining game of basketball, spectators may enjoy door prizes, a cake raffle, and a halftime show. Concessions will be available.
