Haley Gordon and Trista Elliot show their High Point Trophy.
Sisters High School's equestrian team won the High Point Trophy for small schools this season.
The team doubled in size, adding Shira Spahn, Monet Tyler and Caroline Stout to the roster this year.
The team, in its third season, competes against Mountain View, Bend High School, La Pine, Lakeview, Dufur, The Dalles, Hood River and Redmond.
At state they will compete against most of the 86 schools in Oregon and southern Washington.
Seniors Haley Gordon and Trista Elliott have been on the team since the first year. Along with Stout, they will compete in the fast Team Penning event at Salem Friday-Sunday, May 10-12.
They will also race in Team Canadian Flags with the addition of freshmen alternate Monet Tyler. Tyler is taking Rachel Eady's place because Eady will not be able to make it to the state competition. (Jordon and Eady were also invited in Working Pairs.)
Individually Elliott will go to state in Showmanship and Trail. Stout will race against time in Pole Bending. Gordon will compete in Reining. Eady was invited in Pole bending and Reining as well.
