Paulina Springs Book Company will celebrate its 10th anniversary over Memorial Day weekend.
There are two special events scheduled on Saturday, May 25, and a party will be held on Sunday, May 26.
On Saturday morning, lifelong butterfly enthusiast William Neill will lead a field trip to the Metolius River area to view local butterflies.
Neill is the author of "The Guide to Butterflies of Oregon and Washington."
At 9:30 a.m. he will be at the store to present a short slide show and sign books. Then hikers will head out to the river.
Participants are advised to bring lunch and water.
Binoculars are recommended.
The trip will occur regardless of weather and will be finished around 2 p.m.
Visitors are welcome to come for just the slide show and book signing, according to organizers.
On Saturday evening Oregon's hiking authority, William Sullivan, will present a slide show featuring the new trips and trails he discovered doing the research for the just-published second edition of "100 Hikes/Travel Guide: Oregon Coast & Coast Range."
Sullivan's book includes maps, history, and points of interest for hikes of all levels of difficulty.
On Sunday afternoon, May 26, from 4 to 6 p.m. the Sisters community is invited to a birthday bash which will feature refreshments and door prizes.
The Sisters Folk Festival Sound Check Band and the Squawback Anvil Blasters will be on hand to provide musical entertainment.
Musicians include Dick Sandvik, Phyllis Sokol, Jeff Wester and Jim Cornelius.
