Sheriff's office moved

The new Sisters substation.

The Sisters substation of the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office is in new quarters at 703 Larch Street (across the parking lot from the Weitech building).

The substation was previously located next to the Sisters Flex School in the Sisters Industrial Park.

The new office space is more than twice as large as the old facility and offers several amenities, including a large break room and a bathroom with a shower that can be used as deputies come off shift.

With some remodeling, the office is expected to have an interview room and a meeting room with the capacity to hold 20-30 people for search & rescue meetings, training meetings and other uses.

The facility also has a small room where deputies can testify via video for grand jury and court arraignments.

The substation is open to the public.
