Sisters Sheriff's calls

  • A merchant reported the theft of some cash from his business.

  • A window was broken at a shop in the Industrial Park.
  • A man tried to flee on foot after a traffic stop. A police K-9 put a stop to that in a big hurry. The man was taken into custody on multiple warrants.
  • A man reported being buzzed by a low-flying plane, which landed on a roadway, then took off again. A deputy made inquiries at all the local airports, but was unable to locate the plane.
  • A Sisters woman was arrested for violating a restraining order.
  • A deputy found a vehicle on its top at Harrington Loop and Highway 20, but no driver around.
  • Someone turned in a wallet with all the cash, cards and ID intact. The owner was most gratified to realize that there are some honest folks out there.
  • A man is hoping the same thing happens with a money clip he lost, holding $600 or $700.
