Sisters sheriff's calls A couple of tree trunks obstructed a lane on Highway 20.

A vehicle hit one and was disabled.

  • A large buck ran into a car, with fatal results. A man later tried to drag the deer off into the woods and tag it with a Metolius Unit tag (there seems to have been some confusion over the concept of hunting). A deputy told him he couldn't do that.
  • Someone reported a suspicious male in dark clothing and a stocking cap prowling around a motel parking lot.
  • A ranch manager reported a break-in at a shop, but could not determine what, if any, items were taken.
  • A 54-year-old Sisters man died of apparent heart failure while hunting.
  • A Sisters youth reported that someone broke into his vehicle and stole his sub-woofers.
  • A woman reported the theft of several items from her vehicle.
