SOAR opens new Teen Cabana

Sisters teens have a new place to gather and have fun. As of Friday, November 8, SOAR (Sisters Organization for Activities and Recreation) opened its new "Teen Cabana."

A Grand Opening celebration is scheduled for November 22-23.

The cabana will be open to Sisters High School students and their guests on Friday and Saturday nights from 7 to 11:30 p.m. with live music and/or open mike performances

There will be a Monday night gathering with an emphasis on watching football from 7 to 10 p.m.

Sisters Middle School kids will enjoy the cabana Monday through Friday from 3 to 5:30 p.m.

The club will furnish a menu including Espresso, Italian sodas, Pepsi products, energy bars and candy.

It is designed with a motif of purple walls and palm trees, with murals created by Sisters High School students.

Contributors to the project include Central Oregon Partnership and Swiss Mountain Log Homes.
