Sisters man arrested for trailer theft

Deschutes County Sheriff's Deputies and Bend Police arrested Jimmy Kevin McClintick, 40, for first degree aggravated theft in the early hours of Thursday, January 9, after serving a search warrant at 285 E. Washington St. in Sisters.

The search and arrest culminated an investigation into the theft of a trailer and espresso machine from where the trailer was parked at Sisters Car Wash on October 10. The equipment was to have been set up at a Bright Spot espresso stand at the Sisters Harvest Faire.

Sheriff's deputies arrested Dana Danielle Osborn, James Allan Carney and Richard Harold Moon last month in connection with the case. Deputies recovered the espresso machine last October. The trailer has not been recovered.

According to sheriff's office reports, the investigation revealed that the stolen trailer had been dismantled and the parts distributed to various locations.

Deputies reportedly had probable cause to arrest McClintick but were unable to locate him until January 8, when they received tips that the suspect was staying in a camp trailer behind the Washington St. address.
