Peterson Ridge run scheduled for Sisters

The first annual Peterson Ridge Rumble is set for Sunday, May 4.

This will be a 17-mile trail running race on the Peterson Ridge trail just south of Sisters.

Designed to be fun and low-key, the event will start and finish at 385 W. Washington Ave., with a barbecue after the race.

The race is mostly on dirt with a mixture of single- and double-track trails. There is a gentle elevation gain the first half, and a gentle elevation loss the second half.

There will be four aid stations, complete with dog water and dog treats.

Entry fee for the run is $10 if pre-registered by May 1, or $15 late. Pick up entry forms at Sisters Athletic Club and Eurosports in Sisters and at the Foot Zone in Bend.
