Sisters sheriff's calls

  • A woman reported that a three-legged pit bull wouldn't let her off the porch. A deputy contacted the dog's owner, who came and secured the dog.
  • A deputy arrested a Sisters man on a warrant.
  • A car rear-ended another at the intersection of Cascade and Pine.
  • A man flagged down a deputy to report that his wife had jumped out of their car and run away during an argument. The woman was located. She had called her mother to come and get her.
  • A Sisters man was arrested for drunk driving after a minor wreck in town.
  • A man reported damage to his vehicle in a road rage incident on Cloverdale Road at Highway 126.

Black Butte Ranch Police

  • A man reported he accidentally threw a bag of clothing belonging to his wife away in the trash compound. Inside the bag was a smaller bag containing over $50,000 in jewelry.

    The reporting party described the trash bag of clothes and an officer went dumpster-diving and located the bag after the fourth dumpster.

  • An officer responded to a report of people yelling, fighting and stuff being broken at an address in Sisters. Sheriff's deputies were unavailable.

    The officer discovered the dispute was over a dog biting a five-year-old child.

    The child went to the hospital and the dog was taken into custody.

  • An officer assisted three people who crashed into a deer on Highway 20. They made it as far as BBR and requested a tow to take them to Bend.
