Sisters sheriff's calls

  • Deputies dealt with multiple abandoned cars around Sisters.

    A deputy was forced to kill an injured elk on the highway; a motorist helped a deputy move a large boulder out of the roadway near Dry Canyon; and there was an accident east of the interchange with Highway 20.

  • A man complained that another driver attempted to run him off the road.
  • A deputy delivered a warning to a man who has allegedly been harassing people at a Sisters business.
  • A man reported that someone threw mayonnaise, dog food, ketchup and eggs on his door.

    The vandal apparently tried to tie the doorknob to a post so the door couldn't be opened.

  • A deputy moved a considerable amount of construction debris off Highway 20.

    Black Butte Ranch Police

  • Officers responded to several vehicles stuck in snowbanks.
  • An officer assisted medics with a back injury patient.
  • A Sisters youth and his sister escaped serious injury when the young driver lost control of his Jeep Wrangler on black ice and the vehicle flipped over on its top.
