Sisters sheriff's calls

    She claimed assault.

    A deputy investigated.

    He found a man who had let off three shotgun blasts to scare away coyotes.

    He hadn't actually seen any coyotes, he just thought it was about time he put some fear into the critters.

  • A Eugene driver put his car into a ditch on Highway 126.

    He wasn't hurt and neither was his car.

  • A deputy tracked down a Sisters merchant's dog, which someone had accidentally let out of the store.
  • Deputies responded to a single-vehicle, minor-injury wreck on Highway 20.
  • A deputy stopped a man for not wearing a seatbelt -- and arrested him on a warrant.
  • A deputy turned wrangler and herded some loose horses onto a local ranch.

    The horses belonged to a different ranch and the deputy tracked down the owners.

    Black Butte Ranch Police

  • A woman reported that a car pulled into her driveway in the wee hours and a person got out and walked around, then left. She requested extra patrol.
  • Officers made numerous stops of drivers who failed to signal turns on the Ranch -- where traffic rules still apply.
