Sisters sheriff's calls

  • Deputies, assisted by a canine unit, arrested a man on two counts of menacing after a domestic incident.

    The man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

  • A deputy tracked down a Sisters youth who had not come home from school as expected.

    He had, for some reason, left school, then gone back.

  • A woman reported a suspicious door-to-door salesman.

    Part of what made him suspicious was that her door is a long way from other doors.

    He also asked inappropriate questions, such as whether she was home alone and if she was married.

    He left when she told him to.

  • Deputies arrested a Sisters man on a warrant.
  • A man called to ask a deputy to do some marriage counseling with his wife.

    The deputy explained that that is not his job.

    He also told the man that if he went to the wife's house and she didn't want to talk to him, the man had to leave.

  • A resident reported yet another cougar sighting east of town.
  • A deputy contacted a man after he flipped a woman the bird driving out of her driveway.

    The man was upset that the woman had previously called police about his stray dog.
