ride. Designed to appeal to all those people who can not commit to a week-long ride in the fall, this year's summer event will be based in Sisters, on July 23-25.
Ride organizers expect the event to bring about 500 people to Sisters.
Participants will enjoy all the traditional Cycle Oregon comforts including a nice campsite, hot showers, cold beverages, a fully-supported course, gourmet meals and Cycle Oregon entertainment.
Cyclists will enjoy two days of riding along the back roads of beautiful Central Oregon. Tour highlights include stops at such landmarks as Smith Rock, McKenzie Pass, Camp Sherman, the Head of the Metolius and Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery.
Registration for "Cycle Oregon: The Weekend" opens Saturday, April 17, at 7 a.m. at http://www.cycleoregon.com.
"For years we have heard from people all over the state who could not join us each year during the first week of school," said Cycle Oregon founder Jonathan Nicholas. "We listened. We look forward to welcoming a wide new range of riders to our Cycle Oregon family."
For a fee of $150, riders will experience all the customary comforts of Cycle Oregon. Cyclists will enjoy two days of riding with a fully supported course each day that features two fully-catered rest stops, a lunch oasis, SAG wagons, bike mechanics and medical support.
