Sisters sheriff's calls

  • A deputy picked up a woman walking along the highway -- and ended up arresting her on a warrant.
  • Deputies arrested a man after a domestic disturbance at a motel.
  • A Sisters youth was cited for theft after he took some equipment from a Sisters shop without permission of the owner.
  • A deputy found a deer lying in the road, apparently uninjured and helped her on her way -- perhaps slightly annoyed at the interruption of her beauty rest.
  • Some Sisters kids started a brush fire when they lit up an ant hill. Sisters firefighters quickly doused the blaze.

Black Butte Ranch Police:

  • An officer was dispatched to a single-vehicle accident on Highway 20. He assisted a Jefferson County deputy who took the female driver into custody for DUII.
  • A woman received airbag injuries after her car plowed into a boulder that fell off a hillside on Highway 20. The woman and her passenger were not seriously hurt, but the car was.
