Sisters sheriff's calls

  • Deputies responded to a motion detector alarm at a Sisters business, only to discover that a holiday display had fallen over and set off the alarm.
  • Deputies investigated a reported burglary north of Sisters.
  • A man offered to send in pictures of a site he found while deer hunting in the Sisters area. The hunter found a circle made of sticks with the word "DIE" in the middle of it and a mock tombstone at one end.
  • A deputy looked into a report of a dog chasing a neighbor's horse.
  • A woman complained that a neighbor scared her 14-year-old daughter when the neighbor confronted the girl about barking dogs.

Black Butte Ranch Police

  • An officer spotted a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed through the woods behind Tollgate. He tracked the vehicle to a driveway in Tollgate and found the passenger to be very drunk and the driver to have an open container of alcohol. He cited both as Minors in Possession of Alcohol and ticketed the driver for having an open container.
  • An officer found four people trespassing at a Ranch hot tub during closed hours. The group tried to take off, but the officer caught up to them. He found them intoxicated but cooperative in getting their belongings together and leaving the area.
