Sisters sheriff's calls

  • A resident complained about a neighbor's hound dogs -- not for the first time.

    A deputy responded and heard a hound howl as only a hound can howl.

    This time there was a warning; next time the owner will be hounded into a citation.

  • Someone stole an irrigation wheel line motor.
  • There was a report of vandalism to a drink machine at a golf course.

    Frustration?

  • A deputy stopped a driver who was weaving over the road.

    The driver was having a diabetic problem.

    Sisters EMTs responded and rendered aid.

  • A driver reported that his car was egged.
  • Deputies arrested a 19-year-old woman on a warrant.

    She was not singing "I'll be home for Christmas..."

  • Deputies responded to a car fire behind Adams Roost apartments (see story).
  • An employee of a local business called to inform deputies that she had ejected a person from the business, to which the person had responded "I know where you live."
  • A deputy found two small border collies in the woods off Three Creek Road.
  • There were several reports of slide-offs on the roadways due to slick conditions.
  • A business owner said someone ran through his fence, taking out some trees, but by the time deputies arrived there was no car there anymore.

Black Butte Ranch Police

  • An officer responded to an alarm at a residence only to find that a maid had hit the panic button by mistake.

    Must have been messy.

  • A brush fire was reported near a residence.

    It turned out to be Forest Service burn piles.

  • A resident reported a broken water pipe.
  • An officer responded to a report of an accident with two vehicles over an embankment on Santiam Pass.

    He found only two cars that had slid off the road, with no injuries involved.

    He patrolled the road and contacted ODOT personnel, who had found no accidents.

    The alarming report was unfounded.

    A tow truck pulled out the cars that had gone off the road.
