Sisters sheriff's calls

  • A deputy investigated a reported theft at Sisters Middle School.
  • Someone reported that a wolf had been shot near Sisters and wanted a deputy to come take a look. The deputy was unable to locate a dead wolf.
  • Numerous drivers slid off roads into ditches and fences on local roads and in subdivisions.
  • A citizen reported an apparently drunk pedestrian weaving around on the highway. A deputy could not find the man.

Black Butte Ranch Police

  • An officer stopped a man for apparent DUII. The man wasn't drunk, merely wrestling with his sandwich.
  • An officer stopped and cited another driver who had an open container of alcohol.
  • Black Butte Ranch officers assisted a truck driver who couldn't make it up the hill on Highway 20 due to ice.
  • Another driver went into the ditch because of ice -- and bald front tires. He didn't have a license, either.
