Name that raffle quilt and win $25

There’s a $25 gift certificate for the taking for the person who names the new raffle quilt at The Stitchin’ Post.

The quilt will be raffled as the finale for the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show the second Saturday of July.

“We are looking for a name for our raffle quilt,” explained Ann Richardson of the East of the Cascades Quilters. “This is a one-of-a-kind quilt.”

It was designed and made by the quilt group and was quilted by Lori Gailey of Mountain View Quilting.

“Lori has donated some of her time and is a sponsor of the Sisters quilt show in July,” said Richardson.

The “Name the Quilt” winner will be chosen by the Raffle Quilt Design Team and announced at the Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce Mix ’n’ Mingle held at The Stitchin’ Post on Thursday, May 19.

Entries may be dropped off at The Stitchin’ Post. The $25 gift certificate may be used at The Stitchin’ Post/Wild Hare.

The Stitchin’ Post is located at 311 W. Cascade Avenue in Sisters.

“The raffle quilt is one means of raising money to cover expenses for the (quilt) show,” said Richardson.

Raffle tickets are available at The Stitchin’ Post for $1 or six for $5.

The winning raffle ticket will be drawn on Saturday, July 9, Quilt Show Day, at 4 p.m.

Well over 100 local quilters are members of the East of the Cascades quilting group.
