Sisters sheriff’s calls...

• A deputy and some citizens rounded up loose horses belonging to a local rancher. The rancher, thinking they were trespassers, fired a round into the air from a Glock 9mm. The deputy on hand explained why that wasn’t a good thing to do.

• Someone stole checks from a local mailbox and passed some in Redmond.

• Some citizens got stuck in the snow on Three Creek Road. They got unstuck before deputies arrived to help them.

• Deputies impounded a car after contacting the driver as a suspected prowler.
