News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
The kids in Mr. Albertson’s first grade class had time on their hands earlier this month — literally.
The students built a towering clock of cardboard and construction paper, wildly decorated with all sorts of colors and symbols.
The clock will be auctioned off in April during the “time-themed” My Own Two Hands fund-raiser. This year’s theme is “Make Time” and the students did just that.
As part of the project, they took a field trip to Beacham’s Clock Company where they heard the unforgettable sound of all the Beacham’s clock’s chiming the hour at once.
Parent volunteer Stephanie Blakelock thanked Ed and Kathy Beacham for being so welcoming of the awestruck children.
