Miller takes individual honors at tourney

Sisters’ Kayla Miller took individual honors with a score of 83 in the Lady Outlaws’ first golf match of the season at Crooked River Ranch on March 17.

Sisters, Redmond, Madras and Estacada participated in the tournament. Redmond finished in first place and Sisters was runner-up.

Krystal Fitter carded a 96 followed by Jennifer Friend at 120. Torie Smith finished with a 126 and Maureen Broadbent at 128.

Miller hit her tee shots and iron shots very well but struggled with her short game.

“I was so frustrated,” said Miller. “I had 44 putts on the green. That’s horrible! The greens were very, very fast. Everyone struggled on the greens.”
