• An April 13 story (“Teacher serves as principal…” page 15) erroneously referred to “the dismissal of Administrator Buzzy Castonguay” at Sonrise Christian School. Castonguay left the school because, partly at his suggestion, the board eliminated his position as a budget-cutting measure.
• Last week’s article about Jim Anderson’s presentation on passenger pigeons should have read, “It would be interesting to search in Cuba for any remaining Ivory-billed Woodpeckers (not passenger pigeons) that may have survived.”
The woodpecker has been thought to be extinct since the 1940s.
