News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
The gazebo at the Village Green Park was in danger of being loved to death.
Kids play on it, musicians pick on it and skateboarders use it for tricks (even though they’re not supposed to). With rot setting in on floor joists and supports, the City of Sisters Public Works Department decided it was time to repair and spruce up the facility.
Flooring and supports are being replaced and new pavers are being set around the facility.
The city, with the financial participation of event production groups in Sisters, is also boosting the power supply at the gazebo, which runs electricity for music events and craft shows in the summertime.
