• A deputy arrested a transient in connection with a suspicious fire off Highway 20.

Black Butte Ranch Police
• An officer tried unsuccessfully to track down a small white car that was blasting down the highway and passing on the double yellow.
• A man turned in a money clip filled with cash and credit cards. BBR police contacted the owner.
• An officer cited a man for careless driving (without a license) after the man fell asleep and nearly collided head-on with oncoming traffic.
