Sisters Movie House has hired Jim Barnett of Bend as general manager and Robin Knoll as film booker for the new four-screen theater set to open this summer.
As a 16-year veteran in the hospitality industry and a graduate of Century Business School in San Diego, California with a degree in Culinary Arts and Food and Beverage Management, Barnett was most recently the Catering Manager of McMenamins Old St. Francis in Bend.
While living in Mammoth, California for 11 years, Barnett worked in food service management in ski resorts, restaurant and hotels.
Barnett understands the importance of a close-knit community and was awarded the Mammoth California Service Hero for excellence in customer service. He plans to bring a warm and comfortable environment to the Sisters Movie House.
Robin Knoll, of KVH Enterprises, has been retained as a film booker for the theater. Knoll is a veteran of 30 years in the film exhibition business.
In addition to acquiring film for theaters in Oregon, California, and New York, Knoll is the General Manager of Cannes Cinema in Seaside, Oregon, a position he has held since 1992.
Sisters Movie House will showcase a diverse selection of film and feature first-run, independent, documentary, foreign, and animated film.It will support community and holiday events by featuring thematic second-run films.
Sisters Movie House is in the FivePine development east of Sisters Athletic Club.
