• Eryn M. Lamoureux completed the massage therapy program at COCC, passing the Oregon state exams and becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist.
• Dave Wheeler of the Sisters-Camp Sherman Rural Fire Protection District thanked the following people for their help in supporting the 2005 Emergency Services Expo on Saturday, May 21: Cloverdale and Black Butte Ranch fire departments, Oregon Department of Forestry, The Forest Service, Red Cross, Deschutes and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Offices, Deschutes County 911, Oregon Department of Transportation, Air Life, Safe Kids, State Fire Marshal’s Office and a special thanks to Ray’s Food Place and Coca Cola for donations.
“Without your help, this event would not have been possible. Thanks again,” he said.
• The Sisters Elementary School Garden Club hosted its second annual Garden Fair at the school on Saturday, May 14, to help raise funds towards a bigger greenhouse.
Organizers said, “A big thank you goes out to Lutton’s and Double F Nursery for their contributions in plants as well as all the businesses and individuals who donated items to sell or put in our silent auction.
“Also, those volunteers who gave their time in setting up, attending booths, cleaning up and with baking goods and making cards to sell. It truly was a group effort and we are grateful to all who were a part. Without the generosity of so many it wouldn’t have been possible.
“We thank the community for all their support.”
