New issue of Central Oregon Horse Journal out

The summer issue of the Central Oregon Horse Journal (COHJ) is out and available at locations throughout Sisters and Central Oregon.

From the sound of the bugle that announces the Central Oregon Horse Races to the thud of an arrow driven into a target by a speeding mounted archer, COHJ features a glimpse into sports that are not often recognized in Central Oregon.

For those who like to get off the beaten track, Charley Engel offers a spectacular trail ride around the Three Sisters mountains — the ultimate summertime adventure.

The magazine offers several how-to stories and a profile of Mimi Graves and Katy and Amy Yoder, a three-generation Sisters family that shares a love of horses and riding.

COHJ is available at Ray’s Food Place, Leavitt’s Western Wear, Sisters Feed Co., the Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce, at Black Butte Ranch, and other locations in Sisters.

Copies can be picked up at The Nugget office, 442 E. Main Ave.
