Folk musician performs at Club

Folk musician Johnsmith will perform at Sisters Athletic Club on Thursday, July 28.

Johnsmith is a veteran of the Sisters Folk Festival, where he both performed and served as an instructor at the Americana Song Academy.

The singer/songwriter is a past winner of the Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Award and has won wide acclaim for his earthy delivery of finely crafted songs.

Local songwriter and Sisters Folk Festival Songwriting Contest winner Dennis McGregor will open the show.

The concert starts at 7 p.m.; doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance; $15 at the door, available at Sisters Athletic Club on Highway 20.
