Sisters sheriff’s calls...

• A deputy cited a 16-year-old driver after a two-vehicle collision at E. Cascade Avenue and Spruce Street.

• A citizen reported six cows loose on the highway. Citizens herded the critters off the road and into a pasture before law enforcement action was necessary. The owner of the cattle vowed to check his fences.

• A 17-year-old waitress reported being verbally harassed by a 52-year-old man.

• An 18-year-old got arrested for drunk driving.

• Deputies stood by as firefighters knocked down a small blaze off Three Creek Road.

• Someone stole a bicycle and a clarinet at Sisters Middle School. The culprit should be easy to spot if he uses both at the same time.

• A woman reported theft of some boulders. Apparently, some time in 2003, the cable company removed some boulders on her property while digging a trench. The woman claims the company promised to replace said boulders.

When they recently declined to replace the boulders, the woman demanded her original boulders back.

The relationship seems to have hit the rocks and the sheriff’s office was asked to intervene.

• A woman requested that a deputy come and shoot the rabbits that are infesting her property. She was concerned that the neighbors might object if she shot them herself.

• A couple of guys got into a shoving match over $20. A nose was punched. Police were called. The double sawbuck went uncollected.

• A man with a warrant had a traffic accident. Not a good thing for a guy with a warrant to do. He was arrested.

Black Butte Ranch Police

• An officer assisted medics with a four-year-old boy who was bitten on the face by a dog. The incident occurred in Jefferson County and was handed over to a Jefferson County deputy for investigation.

• A BBR officer found the victim of the domestic assault referenced above walking along the highway. She had some injuries. The officer helped her and assisted in the arrest of her husband.

• An officer made sure a heavily intoxicated woman made it home from the area of the lodge pool.
