Sisters Folk Festival raffles guitar

Breedlove Guitar Company of Tumalo has donated an SD25 Custom Guitar to the 10th Annual Sisters Folk Festival to be raffled off on Sunday, September 11, at the festival.

The Breedlove SD25 Custom guitar is a dreadnought with a soft cutaway featuring quilted mahogany back and sides, a sitka spruce top, tortoiseshell binding, custom inlay on the neck, LR Baggs Active Element Pickup and a hard shell case.

Raffle tickets can be purchased online at http://www.sistersfolkfestival.com, by calling 549-4979 or through the Sisters Folk Festival ticket outlets in Sisters, Paulina Springs Books or Sisters Feed and Supply.

The guitar is currently on display at Paulina Springs.

Tickets are $5 each or three tickets for $10. The drawing will take place on Sunday, September 11, on the festival main stage. Winner need not be present.

This year the Sisters Folk Festival features performances from The Subdudes, legendary singer-songwriter John Gorka, The Bills, Ruthie Foster, Paul Thorn, Tracy Grammer, Misty River, The Foghorn Stringband and many other top-flight performers from the regional and national folk music scenes.

The festival also includes the Dave Carter Songwriting Contest, the Americana Song Academy, The Night Owl Showcase and more.

This year the festival will introduce a new venue, the Wild Dusty Song and Dance Tent on Main Avenue.
