Starry Nights duo to perform on Tonight Show

Hanna-McEuen, the duo that wowed a Sisters Starry Nights audience this spring, will appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday, August 18, two days after their self-titled debut album is released, according to AngryCountry.com, an alternative country music Web site.

The duo opened a Sisters Starry Nights concert for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

Jaime Hanna, guitar/vocals, is the son of Jeff Hanna. Jonathan McEuen, guitar/vocals, is the son of John McEuen.

Jonathan and his father have also performed in Sisters at the Sisters Folk Festival.

The pair will perform on the show with Jesse Siebenberg on drums (son of Supertramp drummer Bob Siebenberg) and the bass player will be T.J. Russell (son of Leon Russell).

According to the Web site bio, “Jaime Hanna and Jonathan McEuen are first cousins and sons of identical twin sisters, Rae and Kae. Spending so much time together growing up and always living near each other lent itself to strengthening the bond between the two. In addition, their fathers are Jeff Hanna and John McEuen, who have been playing music together for nearly 40 years as founding members of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Natural talent is a given here.”

McEuen has toured with his father and as an individual act and Hanna toured with The Mavericks, handling rhythm guitar, harmony vocals and percussion duties.
