• Sally Howick reported a “random act of kindness”:
“Recently our two daughters took us to Eagle Crest for a lovely dinner to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. A grandson also joined us.
“After the main meal, Don and I were presented with a yummy dessert at which time the waiter and waitresses sang to us and other customers joined in.
“When our daughters were presented with the bill the head waitress said, ‘It’s been taken care of’ and she pointed to the table next to us where a young couple with two small boys had been eating.
“We were dumbfounded and wanted to thank them but they were long gone.
“We had never seen them before but want them to know we certainly appreciate their generosity.”
