• Someone fired off a fire extinguisher in the Village Green bathrooms and the jazz festival tent.
• Someone reported a driver moving slowly and flipping people off. So there.
• An alert lodge employee reported an attempt at fraud over the phone.
• A couple of bicycles were stolen at a Sisters apartment building.
• A resident reported shots fired and screaming in the woods. A deputy located a man who was apparently expressing his frustration with barking dogs. A deputy counseled him.
• Several dogs were hit by cars while running loose on the highway.
Black Butte Ranch Police
• A resident reported spotting a cougar stalking deer on the Ranch.
• An officer arrested a man in Sisters for drinking while driving.
• An officer helped locate a group of geocachers lost in the woods due to — you guessed it — a GPS malfunction.
• Someone reported kids running around with holstered pistols on their hips. The pistols were Airsoft BB guns. Mom and dad disarmed the gunslingers.
