Specialist works on hands and feet at hair salon

Our feet and hands take a beating, especially in the dry high desert climate.

Holly Faludi of High Desert Hair specializes in taking care of hands and feet with manicures and pedicures.

“I do manicures and I do a spa pedicure that’s real popular,” she said.

Faludi said that she really likes working with peoples’ feet because they leave feeling so refreshed and rejuvenated.

“Our feet are the most neglected part of our bodies,” she said.

Faludi has lived in Sisters for four and a half years and just started working at High Desert Hair last month.

“I’ve been staying home with my kids for the last 13 years and just doing hair and nails on the side,” she said.

She can do nails for just about anyone; her first customer was an 11-year-old and her youngest was five. She’s happy to work with everyone, from kids to seniors. However, she doesn’t do acrylic nails due to problems with allergies.

Faludi uses locally-manufactured Haken products.

“I’ve been using them myself for three years and I really like them,” she said.

Faludi also notes that manicures and pedicures are not just for women anymore.

“A lot of men think its a feminine thing and it’s not,” she said. Taking good care of your hands and feet just feels good — and it’s good for you.

Faludi is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday and on Saturdays by appointment. For more information call 549-4495.
