Scholastic Book Fair set at elementary school

Dragons, dinosaurs and dogs will be telling their stories through books at Sisters Elementary School beginning October 11.

The school is hosting its annual Scholastic Book Fair with proceeds going toward the fourth grade spring field trip.

Fourth graders will spend most of this year learning about the history of Oregon. In May they will culminate their studies with an overnight trip to Fort Vancouver, the state Capitol in Salem and the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center.

This year’s book fair theme is “Enter The Kingdom of Reading.” It is open to the public and is a good place to find gifts for the holidays for children and adults.

Times for shopping are: October 11, 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. (preview day only; no sales); October 12, 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.; October 13, 7:45 a.m. to 8 p.m.; October 14, 17 and 18, 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and October 19, 7:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
