“I just got back from the IEE (Interdisciplinary Environmental Expedition) mountain trip and felt the urge to let the community know just how blessed we are to have such amazing teachers who would put together a program like this. My life has been changed.
“I wish I could accurately convey what changed in me but, as any of you who have been in the wilderness know, it is a totally indescribable experience. My hope would be to someday meet and thank each volunteer by name, to express my gratitude for their commitment to getting ALL of us in the wilderness and back out again. Not a simple task!
There are many people who worked behind the scenes that will never get the praise they deserve but that’s why they work behind the scenes. I would like to personally thank (Rand) Runco for your great sense of direction in every meaning of the word. (Samra) Spear, for some of the best peach cobbler I have tasted, next to my mom’s! (Glen) Herron, for your great sense of humor and the excellent belaying skills.
All the interns, Jeff, you did a great job, buddy! Byron (my savior), Ian, Kirk, Gabe, Hedin, Lee and my adult leader Brad (Tisdel) a man of many words, which all are worth listening to! Thank you so MUCH!
